Try downloading MotherBoard Monitor and checking out the temperature given by it. Tell me your results.

Check the BIOS. it reflects approxamately 80% of the full load temp. and is a good referance.

just restarted, bios said 68C, and motherboard monitor 5 doesn't support my motherboard (I didn't see it)

68C? Darn!

You need to reseat that CPU+Heatsink NOW. You're killing slowly your processor, and the BIOS doesn't lie. I think the real temperature is the one given out by Everest, so, please reseat that thing.

You may need a BIOS up date... some quirks with the Bris cores and temps may also effect the BIOS readings!

I honestly don't believe the temp the bios displays, the computer can be cold started and it will display insane temps. I'm not going to worry about it.

Have you tried flashing to a newer bios to see if that fixes your weird temp readings?

Yes, try flashing to a newer BIOS because you *may*damage your CPU if you're negligent and don't find out what's the source of the crazy readings. Which is a bad thing in life...
