What do you guys think i can overclock this system too. Ive built 3 computers before but never really overclocked. Ive been reading guides online on how to do it. I put the specs of the soon to be rig in the sig.

It should oc to 3.2-3.6 on air if you get a decent chip. Solid system.

With that cooler? You should start at a minimum of 333fsb or 3.0ghz, that's what my E6600 and P5B-Deluxe have been doing since day 1, except now that I have the 1004 BIOS, it allows to a 350fsb. Previously the 0711 BIOS were not that good but okay. The 1004 are excellent.

And you won't have any issues overclocking with 4x1GB, just as long as you keep that motherboard and don't switch to an nForce chipset.

Ive read that the cooler has some quality problems with it being concave. How hard is lapping. I ordered the $10 lapping kit form SVC. Comes with a lapping plate and sand paper with grit from 400 to 2500 i think. I hope this cpu is a good batch cause ive read that some people cant get theirs above 3ghz.

Not too dificult at all. Take your time and let the hs's weight do most of the work. Just make sure you are applying even pressure with all your fingers.
