Wow, strange sound in my battery backup

Ok.. first, visualize this sound..

Think about a loose wire in the ceiling of a video game that's sparking every few seconds.. Well, that's the sound coming out of my battery backup, except it's not loud (it's very quiet, you have to pay attention to hear it).

Could there be a busted capacitor or a short or something? Note that I'm not worried about it letting a surge through or anything, since APC pays for my stuff if it does.
