E4320?

E4320?!?

I didn't want to hijack the other thread on the E4300 vs. E4320, but can someone tell me what the official release date is on this CPU? Any idea on pricing in the US?

I just bought an E4300, and haven't opened it yet, i'm well within my RMA period, but will take 15% restocking hit, if the E4300 isn't going to cost much more, it may be worth it for me to pick one up, however, i'm "CPU-Less" right now, and my main machine is pretty much built, but with no CPU.

If the price difference between the E4300 and E4320 is negligible, and the newer chip will be released in the next few days or within a week or so, i'll gladly go for the E4320. If there's going to be a steep price increase, or it won't be released for another month, then i'll settle for the E4300.

Any advice or info?

Intel's Core 2 Duo 1333Mhz FSB Processors - E6450 E6550 E6750 E6850

15/03/07

Intel is getting ready to release its new Core 2 Duo Processor series. The new Core2 Duo family boast a 133 MHz FSB and cheaper prices then the original Core 2 Duo E6600 & Core2Duo E6700.

The Core 2 Duo E6540's price isn't yet known, but the E6550 is said to be set to be priced at $163. The E6750 will apparently come in at $183 and the E6850 at $266. That compares to the current top-of-the-line Core 2 Duo E6700, priced now at $530, though it's expected to fall to $316 on 22 April.
Q3 is also expected to see the arrival of the 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo E4500 - another new roadmap edition - at $133. Q2's 2GHz E4400, which will also debut at $133, will see its price cut to $113 when the faster chip arrives.

As for some reported specs:
Models on the roadmap include the 3GHz Core 2 Duo E6850 and the 2.66GHz E6750, both with a 1333 MHz FSB. The Core 2 Duo E6550, that runs at 2.33GHz will keep the current peak FSB speed, 1066GHz.
New to the roadmap is the E6450, which is essentially the E6550 but lacking support for Intel's Trusted Execution Technology, formerly known as 'La Grande' and a key component of the chip maker's vPro business computing platform.

Along with the new Dual Core Core 2 Duo's, Intel is also releasing some more Quad Core, Core 2 Duo Processors.

We understand Intel's current four-core desktop chip, the 2.4GHz Core 2 Quad Q6600 will have its price cut to $266 in Q3, after falling from $851 to $530 on 22 April. The 2.66GHz Q6700 - due to debut in Q3, according to past roadmap leaks - will initially ship for $530.

might be a typo or misunderstanding. afaik it doesnt exit, will not exist, and people are better off with an E6320/6420. even those on a budget.
