Bad Flash of Bios

Thread Starter
Okay I know im a complete moron. I flashed my motherboards(965p-ds3 rev3.3) bios from f10 to f12. After browsing the web a little I found out that I have to return all bios settings to default before updating to a new bios. I forgot to return them to bios. When I did this my pc started up normally and I dont notice any problems as of now with it. Should I keep as is or should I do something about it?

If your comp booted normally, and you don't notice any difference, then you are fine.

Indeed, why should you need to reset it? You're fine without retetting.

It's not needed, just recommended
As long as it flashed OK and you can boot fine you should be A.O.K.
If your still worried you could always reset to BIOS default and re-flash too

They suggest that you should because with an overclock setting in your BIOS some settings are removerd or modified in new BIOS revisions and can create mangled results but yes in your case where it still functions the way it should then you are fine, and there is no reason to panic...

Just reset the bios, reflash it and work from there, everyone makes mistakes

Your fine mate. Resetting the BIOS is just reccomended...not absolutely needed.
Resetting the BIOS before the flash helps to ensure that any overclock unstability will not affect the flash. Once you are flashed and able to boot up, you are fine and resetting default is long moot.
Once again...
