It's a 2GB DDR2-1000 kit for $100, can't be beat.

And for the video card, I'd choose the eVGA 8600GT: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130085

It's $115, but it's the only thing worth upgrading for the price. Also, eVGA offers a step-up program, so within 90 days of purchase you can upgrade to anything of a higher value by paying the difference. In that case you can upgrade to a 8600GTS or 8800GTS 320MB, whatever fits your budget by then.
So, you can get the rebate and establish the setup-program with original purchase price?

The ram looks fine, I was looking for that and deciding between the G.Skill HZ's. The 8600GTS, I think, will run fine, just not on maxed resolutions. I think medium will be fine for maybe DX10 applications, other than that, it should run everything fine. This is the lowest priced 8600GTS I could find on the egg, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...OTC-pr1c3watch.

An 8600GT if you reconsider: http://www.buy.com/prod/xfx-geforce-...204823280.html
