Heya all

Thread Starter
I've been lurking around for about six months now. I finally decided to make an account last month I believe.

I was mostly here for the Online Deals section.

I've only done some minor overclocking, since I have mostly been afraid I'll accidentally fry something. By minor overclocking, I mean just 200 MHz on a CPU.... probably not THAT minor in comparison to some things. Although I'd be willing to try more with the support of a great community.

The compy I'm currently running on was my first build. It's remained mostly the same except for some minor upgrades over the last 10 months.

I love to code, read, and play games in my spare time, if I have any. I still love my Commodore 64, and I refuse to get rid of it.

I hope I'm a welcome addition to this community, and I also hope I can provide something valuable.

Hey, welcome to Overclock dot net!
Please input your computer specs Here.

You cannot fry your CPU by overclocking. Raising the voltage to stabilize a overclock raises heat which means lower life span. If you run at like 1.6vcore -1.8vcore, now you can fry a CPU.

Overclocking a GPU is different. Once you raise the core/mem on a GPU, the temp raises without ypu having to give it more voltage.
