How to change P5WDH multi? - Page 2

Hi killnine,

Ya the modify ratio support was added in the P5WDH. Mine didn't used to be capable, through a couple different bios's. Now I have bios 2004, and dropping multi is can-do . Not sure which version they added it exactly, but I think it would work before 2004 bios as well, pretty sure I could also do it before that. Should be in the CPU menu where all the temp throttling etc is, if not, you need a flash .

I don't think that's the case regarding the cpu. Moving up fsb can increase performance some, and ya you're making the mobo/NB run harder you're right. But I've even seen where a cpu needs more vcore to sustain same clock as before, after dropping multi and pumping fsb up.

yeah, Roscoe, its there, but there is no option to change the multi. All it does is have an option to enable such a feature, but no other options (like selecting a specific multi) appear.
