Haven't you seen the performance reviews? And I thought the 8600's were bad, the 2600's are even worse.
These cards are for HD/Blue-Ray or HTPC use...not gaming. For the performance they offer in terms of pricing vs a 8600..there a clear and obvious choice for someone building an HTPC, not concerned with gaming.

well that may be true, however, the 2400 and 2600 cards still have immature drivers to go along with them. the drivers now are only meant for the 2900 but not the lower end ones. once they release new drivers that have all 3 graphics cards in mind, then they will have better performance. in my opinion, between the 8600gt and the 8600gts.

Not to mention that the review article was using a beta driver for the ATI cards... another review using non-beta drivers showed it stomping the nvidia cards.

Have you tried any games with it? Maybe it can do some wonders on small resolutions like 1024x768... or 800x600?
