Thing is, they probably wont get one -_-, although they CAN get one, there aren't enough mac owners to even bother creating viruses for them. Though, if macs ever reach over 25% of the market, i think that could change

I had an iPhone release day. A friend brought it to me, I paid him retail for it on the spot and kept it over night. During that time, I realized I never leave the computer ANYWAY and although the 8125 is as slow as the freaking day wanes... it was enough for the time being.

I pay about 2k every two years ANYWAY so these fools buying into this lame excuse not to get an iPhone should rethink the concept. It's 2k over TWO YEARS. Most of you spend more than that on your freakin' internet connection. I'm sure a good thirty percent of the population pay 59.99 a month for their phone plan regardless.

The only reason I did NOT keep my iPhone (Sold it for retail to an employee here and made my money back) was because I never leave the computer long enough to enjoy it's features.

I didn't find the internet any slower than the 8125, and the 8125 plays with watered-down versions. I didn't find anything annoying about it that hasn't been said already.

It's not worth it to me AT THE MOMENT because I'm still at the computer all the time but I can see why it's a great device. Future revisions will be better.

I had one, I tested it out, it's good. I just didn't see the need to have one when I could spend the 600.00 on photo Equipment... and I ended up spending 1800.00 on that the next day.

Some of you people need to download your own brains.
The internet was the same because both use EDGE

But yeah, comparing to the 8525 the iPhone definitely better hardware but I honestly think that's as best as it is.

I had a whole list of things that I need in a smartphone that the iPhone doesn't have and want..

---

Guys get back on topic, no one is talking about mac's.

--

And yeah Audi I pay about 180$ a month for cable / phone and internet.. It's worth it though. Downloading a map on BF2 at 980 - 1000 solid on a router, wifi, and not that close..

I just think this thread title is crazy-retarded. And what's worse is that there's about 50 posts in it, meaning SOMEONE bought into it as means to justify why they don't have one.

At least YOU have an intelligent and totally plausible reason for not owning one. I have one. How many others here have done more than repeat exactly what the next kid said? "Ith too exthpenthive." "THTUPID ApPLE HUR HUR".

Gimme a break, man.

I agree, the phone could have a lot more features for the price. It was fun to use for a little bit... and then I turned around in my chair and saw my laptop and decided I should be buying things that make me money. xD

Is it Friday yet? Shipping takes too long.

It's not just a cell phone. It's a Smartphone / PDA. When you look at the price of those and the hardware specs the iPhone is worth it. The software is the main limitation, but I suppose with time or second generation most of this will be fixed.

The iPhone isn't for you. It's for people that text a lot, need to have important e-mail on the go and constant access to the net and maybe view documents and such... Also for little teens that want to look fashionable and have lots of space for their crappy music.

One thing that makes your phone better than iPhone is that it doesn't take 6 steps to make a call..

My phone (razr) was free, and my plan is 40 bucks a month. Yeah, I dont have a media player, and I cant send/check email but whooptie doo. I have a laptop to do that and an ipod to do the former.

Just way too expensive for me.

Not to mention, for those of you with blackberries, there is no iPhone encrypted email (too bad for you lawyers who need secure connections for clients), and there is NO interface to sync with an exchange server. So unless you are just checking personal mail (which makes the iPhone an even more absurd status symbol), there really isn't much point.
You simply cannot compare a RAZR to this. It's like apples and socks. But yeah I agree with the rest...

2 Grand for two years is not much for a phone and service... But it doesn't make the iPhone worth it..

It was 50$ with a contract and I get 2000minutes a month for 79.99. The iphone brings pretty to the table, but wouldn't increase my functionality.
Agreed with most... I can't even say something like can you edit word documents or check your email easily.. Urgh.. What about do you have visual voicemail? Lol...

The cost of the 24 month phone plans is $1353.50 projecting the $59.99 price does not change and you can get a 6% interest rate.

Therefore the actual cost of the phone and plan is $1952.50 using present value.
Is that with one time activation fee?

Ill Totally agree with you^^

I am in that situation being a professional with having a smartphone for email clients, word documents and all that jazz. The iPhone though really isnt a professional phone..its more of a toy for enthusiasts which want all of the benefits of a low end smartphone in a trendy expensive package. Like I noted above, HTC makes FAR better phones than Apple or Plam or Motorola ever will hope to make. Why?...Because they are aimed directly at the professional market.

The HTC Kaiser which will be released has dual cameras..One on the front for vido conferencing <--Again, a professional thing; and one on the back for regular photographs. It also has an extreme media application for client based email servers with POP3 as well as Word/Excel/PPT editing applications. It also has support for the new network services which are wirelessly 3600Kbps to a mobile device at a constant speed <--Again annother professional thing;

So, Like above, the iPhone is just an overpriced trendy thing that is overhyped and over advertised. Although, I must give high creditation to Apple for marketing tactics because it seems as if they've worked

i really prefer giving o2 £20 for 12 months and getting a sony ericsson free and some inclusive minutes and messages...than pay that sort of money for essentially a similar device.
