Upgrade or add cooling?? (Radeon 9600)

G'day everyone!
I'm pretty new around here as many of you can probably tell. lol!
But yeah I have one question for you all...

Lately I have been playing around with OCing my GPU over the past few days.
Noting too major just a few tweaks here and there, but during my testings
I've discovered that my GPU has been getting really hot really fast! Hehe, no surprises there! lol
But yeah basically I was just wondering whether you with all your years of wisdom, would recommend
me either going out and purchasing some new nifty cooling features for my GPU?
Or just dumping the old and purchase a whole new card??

I've been looking around and have decided that IF I was to go for the "cooling"
option I'd more than likely go and get myself a ZM80D-HP with the ZM-OP1 optional attachment...
That is unless you guys have something else in mind that'd do the job better?? hehe
Annnd as far as upgrading the GPU goes I haven't really given it too much though, I was hoping
you guys would be able to recommend something smashing!

Anyways I look forward to hearing all your input concerning this matter!
Hehe, that is all for now!
Byeeeeeee

*EDIT*
Also I am sorta on a budget so nothing TOO expensive hehe!
$150 - $250 would be my range for now.

Hey hey!! another aussie!! finally, I can give pricings without having to do conversions

I would suggest a new card.

7600GT's are about 224 from where i get them..

and ATI Radeon X1650 Pro IceQ 512MB is around 180ish

but im sure you could find a little lower than that

dont you dare buy cooling for that one.

I'm guessing you have AGP? if so, forget the cooling and upgrade, like Yoda said up there, to a 7900GS or an X1650Pro. If you dont feel like spending over 100$ US(I dont know exchange rate for AU), then the 7600GT will do you good. around 75$ US.

Reason I'm not suggesting the 8600gt(140$ to 150$) is because they are overpriced, and wont even bring comparable performance to a 7600gt.

i'd recommend a 7600GS. still good enough and still cheaper then a 7600GT without spending too much on a AGP system. just my 2 cents...

Ahaha, good to see man! Where bouts you from?? Me I'm one of them Southerners... Tasmanian like lol!!

Anyways thnx for your input! I was just doing the calculations then and for the price I could get the cooling gear for, would basically equal a new card anyways lol
Sooo looks like I'll be upgrading this time round!
Wooooo!!! Though I'm not sure whether to go Nvidia or keep with ATi...
Haha, I've been loyal to ATi for awhile now but that's not to say im closed to nvidia at all! Hehehe!!!

Also just to clear things up...
I am Tasmanian and I have but ONE head! hahaha!
We breed 'em good down here.

Hahaha, thnx to everyone who's posted here!
Now I am really glad I decided to ask here before going out and doing something I may regret. hehe!

I'll hunt around and see whether I can find myself either a X1650Pro or 7600GT!
Possibly even the 7600GS that Nevaziah recommended!

Thanks again everyone!

*EDIT*
Sorry about double postage...

actually I recommended a 7900GS. it's probably the MOST expensive out of those cards.here's a list according to price. the number represents performance. the HIGHER the number the better.

150$ 8600GT 2
120$ 7900GS 5
115$ X1950Pro 4
80$ 7600GT 3
70$ 7600GS 1

Ummmm, just a thought, I noticed that you have a 350watt PSU...

I would seriously considering upgrading that if you are going to be getting a more powerful gfx card. a low powered computer means things may not work...or worse, things blow up

A thermaltake 430Watt is only about $70 I think
