Duct tape has fibres which are slightly flamable at higher temps. and, the silvery coating/glue will start to melt..You can try it though (The static will also come though the duct tape)

At least your PC will float in case of flood.
yeah it can have slight capacitance; but i had a sheet of styrofoam as a mobo tray on a testing rack for a little bit; did nothing in the hour or so it was on it. but idk

This thread reminds me of the system I'm currently having to use for gaming and everday stuff, since I bricked my 8800GTX:

My house-mate calls it 'box-XP' (Current Sig-Rig). It's just a cardboard box covered in eletrical tape with the motherboard mounted on it's box and holes cut out for the rear ports

My E6600 has now been relegated to 24/7 folding, with a £37 XFX 8400GS so I can actually see what it's doing.

He He, I love styrofoam capacitors

Just take styrofoam cups and put aluminum foil around each cup and then stack them and twist them really fast to create static. The cupw ill keep a charge, then, put wires on each side of the metel alternating the way up the cups then you can keep shocking yourself

Lol..legos are made NOT to melt. Take legoland in CA as an example...Those bricks are out there in the frost and over 100°F heat and, nothign has deformed them yet. Heck!, They havnt even faded
