Barcelona synthetic benchmark results bode well - Page 3

Simulated 2.6 Barcelona?? I have a simulated 3.4 Barcelona somewhere at home.... So do they render a "2.6 Barcelona" with current computers to get these benchies? What's the point of simulated benchies? Can they anticipate all problems?

Ships in August. AMAZING performance. Lower power consumption. Higher manufacturing tech while still having better performance and less power consumption is great. And by the way, Barcelona costs less.

AMD needs a dose of reality. Intel isn't losing their lead in processor technology anytime soon. Dual Core is only going to give way to Quad Core, and then the next generation of intel processors will be on the horizon. ATI needed almost an extra year to get a video card out to battle the Geforce 8800's, and now months after Dual Core 2's have established themselves as the premiere processor family, AMD is struggling to shine a positive light on their next generation of also rans.

That AMD/ATI partnership isn't exactly setting the world on fire right now.
