Motherboard Reccomendation

Hey guys, I'm new here.

I'll be building a new computer soon as a graduation present and need some help pertaining to which motherboard I should choose. These are the specs I will be building;

C2D E6420 - Purchased
2GB Dual Channel RAM (If any of you have reccomendations on RAM I will take that into consideration, I'm looking into OCz & Ballistix atm.
X1950 Pro vs. 8600 GT
SATA Barracuda Drive
Antec True Power TRIO 550W PSU

Now for the motherboard, here are my options.

Asus P5B
Asus P5B Plus
Asus P5B Deluxe (ONLY If it's worth it, here where I live it costs about $120 more than the P5B Plus, and ordering off the internet is not an option for me) Not to mention the P5K Deluxe, I could only wish.
Asus P5K
Asus P5N-E

Which would you choose? I am not an overclocker, or not yet atleast. And if I do turn to overclocking, I won't want to go past 3.0GHz on the 6420 anyways. I play some games, nothing too frequently althought I do like playing my games at high settings.

Out of these boards which would you reccomend? I don't need SLI or Crossfire. Just need a stable board that will run my system without any hiccups and misfortunes.

Right now I'm leaning towards the P5K, it's the same price as the P5B Plus. Would the P5K be better than a P5B Plus or is it vice versa?

Thanks

Well if you do any overclocking I would go for the P5K, they seem to provide the best performance. For memory, go for some G.Skill HZs

Well.........welcome to OC.net!

Now, from what I can see, you're not going to spend a few extra bucks more...

So, out of those choices I'd highly suggest the P5B-Plus.

The P5K (Vanilla) is also good but frankly, it doesn't have the fancy features that the P5B-Plus comes with, such as Stack and Cool 2 and you can't RAID on the P5K, while it's possible on the P5B-Plus.

No Peryn CPU support but.....E6420 at 3.0ghz will hold you for a long, long, long time.

So, my vote goes for the P5B-Plus, which is also a great overclocker: ASUS P5B-PLUS ASUS Accelerated Propeller Vista Edition.

And that would make a great graduation present. And what he said for RAM is the best choice. G.Skill are kickass overclockers.

Alright thanks allot guys! That was some really quick help im surprised

So far it looks like it's going to be the P5B Plus unless some more people suggest the P5K. I love the black on the P5B Plus but I also love the heatpipes on the P5K

Anyways as for the RAM, here's the deal. I can't use newegg because I live in Canada, THANKFULLY they're coming to Canada "soon", it's about time because I love the egg.

Crucial Ballistic 2GB Dual Channel Kit 2x1GB, DDR2 800 Mhz PC2 6400
$140.99

OCz 2GB Dual Channel Kit 2x1GB, DDR2 800 Mhz PC2 6400
$125.99

Those are the prices, I wasn't able to find any G Skill ones or Geil.

Also will the x1950 Pro play nice with the P5B Plus or with the P5K. I could also get a 8600 GT but the x1950 Pro has better performance and I dont think Vista is worth it yet on this system.
