Random Shut Downs... (Need Help)

Got my dad's computer built and running fine... until recently. Now it will randomly shut down while playing EQ.

Here's his rig

I have no idea what could be causing this. Any ideas?

No idea. Never load tested it (it's at stock) and don't really have a way to check the voltages that I know of

I would try loading it up to see if it is just the game or not. Load up the vid card and the cpu to see what happens. I just used a multimeter to check volts.

Don't have a multimeter with small enough tips ><

I'll check loads. It runs at 35-40C with the side off while playing EQ. Was up around 45 with the side on for some reason

Haven't had a chance to test it yet, he's playing EQ

Another bit of info... his computer puts out a lot of heat. Like the air around it gets rather hot, he had to move the computer out from under his desk because it was getting too hot to keep there.

Still haven't had a chance to load it yet

Thew BIOS will give you a quick voltage check. Al be it, using a volt meter with the system loaded upo well for about 30 min. is a betterway to determine the rails stability.

I'll take a look at that. Maybe I can come up with something to use on the tip of the multimeter to check volts that way. Would modular cause any issues in this?
