No one questions the GTX's raw power in XP. Everyone on this forum knows, understands, and accepts the fact that the GTX, whether in SLI or not, runs just about everything else into the ground in XP.

However, other benchmarks indicate that when using Vista, that raw power seems to be lessened, and Crossfire seems to shine. The benchies that PCMag used were under Vista, and that's the really the meat and potatoes of this thread.

I don't have GTXs so I can't test it myself, but maybe someone here with a GTX or two and Vista can run 3dMark06 and share their results.

Murlocke probably.

But the HD 2900 XT has shown some good scores in XP too.

I'm actually going to install Vista for the first time when my 2900Xt arrives. I figure why not, it's going to have to happen sooner or later and now I can use DX10.

I can tell you even with a DX9 card if you have a high end system you are going to love it!

Maxishine's rig scoring 17500 on vista drivers with SLI GTX's.

And while i would LOVE to believe everyone knows and accepts the GTX's power, the whole point of the thread was not to prove the lack of proper SLI drivers in Vista. It was to boast AMD's GPU's in a faulty test vs. the GTX.

Yes crossfire scales better than SLI. I think anyone could say that with confidence for all cards. But the review in question wasn't a mention of ATI's vista drivers vs. nVidias. It was a battle of the cards, and thats why i'm waving a red flag.

This person seems to think CPU's are seriously bottlenecking preformance in vista. Maybe that is the case?

Not to burst your bubble, but that "proof" of yours is hardly credible. I mean, YouTube as a source?? C'mon. That's like using Wikipedia for an English paper.

You can raise the red flag all you want and call the tests faulty, but without proper proof my opinion won't be changed.

Youtube and ORB from Futuremark.com itself are much more credible sources than a chart with numbers filled in.

Maybe if you'd watch the rest of maxi's rig video's you wouldn't have such trouble believing.

But man, i miss that bubble.
