I could read manuals or .PDF's ... but I thought I'd randomly throw this out to the OCN folks for some quick instructions.

My goal is to set up a 2x500gb RAID0 array ... yet, this is *not* going to be my main bootable/system disk. More exactly, the array will be used primarily to store and serve video and audio content.

What I'd like to know is how to configure a RAID0 array out of my two 500gig disks while not affecting my current 200 gig boot drive.

Here's an overview of my sum disks owned and how I want to use them:

I. 1 x 200 gig Samsung SATA 200 gig = System bootable disk; contains operating system, essential work apps, etc.

II. 1 x 250 gig Western Digital SATA 250 gig = system imaging and backup device.

III. 2 x 500 gig Western Digital SATA 500 gig = configured in RAID0 array for serving of video content, audio content and installation space for games.

...

So once I plug in the second 500gig drive ... where and how do I load the RAID configuration process that will allow me to configure a 1 TB raid ... while also keeping my existing 200 gig boot drive?

Thanks in advance ...
