Want to overclock new build

Thread Starter
Right, just bought myself a bag full of new kit consisiting of a X2 3800+, Crosshair motherboard, 2 gb crucial ballsitix 800mhz ram, xfx 8800gts video card and an artic cooling freezer 64 pro HSF and a nice antec 900.
Bought it mainly to be a decent gaming rig, but want to get a bit more out of it, currently getting a score of around 7800 in 3d mark 06
Want to try my hand at overclocking it all but have no idea where to start, does anybody else have a similar set up and could tell me what settings they have used to OC it ?

Cheers in advance

read this thread:
http://www.overclock.net/amd-general...ing-guide.html

it contains pretty much all you will need. it is a bit more of trial and error though. it doesnt tell you exactly what numbers you should try. thats the fun of oc'ing. just move up in SMALL increments that way you dont damage your hardware. ya it sounds risky, but take your time and plan accordingly.
