I'm *SO* painting my case interior ... - Page 3

Remember to thoroughly wash it out with soapy water and either dry it with a hairdryer/drip dry or use some kind of paper towel

sorry if it seems like i'm insulting your intelligence , but any grease, dirt or dust will prevent the paint from sticking and the whole experience will be extremely aggravating.

hope this helps

Has anyone seen the "hammered metal" paint? It has a pebbled texture to it.

I was thinking it would make for a pretty nifty mod.

edit: Wow, rustoleum makes "glow in the dark" paint also...weird.

I couldn't tell that much of a difference but I didn't look that closely.

CS2 for the win! AND, see if you can get it chemically stripped. My dad's friend owns a painting business and he said I could get anything dip stripped (He called it that, meh) and painted any color I wanted...

I just have to get a rivet press/gun so I can take the case apart and put it together... Wish there were other options..

Will be quite a job, though.

Someone on OCN recommended, ironically enough, a paint from Home Depot called Armor Coat ... or some such ... I know 'Armor' was in the name ...

Will post progress as I make it ...

That's what I used, I got it a Canadian Tire, however I'm sure some place has it in the US.

I've got some body shop connections, too ... may give them a call (that's where I get all my lapping paper as well)

Main problem for me, since I'm also going to do some other mods (cutting out factory fan grills, etc.) is finding a way to run my system out of a case for a few days ...

Nice, the second darker look definitely looks better IMO.

Just run the mobo on a box. If it doesn't have built in power/reset switches (both of my motherboards, the DFI Ultra D and my eVGA 680i, have them), use a screwdriver or butter knife to power on/off.
