XP Media Center or Pro? - Page 2

I'd say MCE. I have it and enjoy it. It is great being able to stream the cable tv onto my computer. But if you really have no need for it then I wouldnt suggest you get it because it is the only difference. Although Professional has some office tools, you could just buy those later on if necessary.

Also not to forget that if you are a console person with a PS3 or XBOX 360 then MCE is great for streaming content to either one of those machines.

I dont have a 360 or PS3, nor do I plan on purchasing one anytime soon. I was planning on turning it into a tv tuner, but I am not buying a tuner yet... So Media Center isn't worth it unless I'm using an Xbox/PS3 or TV tuner?
