hi guys, atm i have two computers the family one and mine. i was just wondering how to make them be a LAN because atm there not.

i am on wireless and the other computer has the router and modem.

im not sure how to explain it but i want it to be like a cable lan where i can send and leach things of that computer very quickly.

Run the network asetup wizard on both comps and restart them. Then right click on the folder you want to share, then properties, then sharing. and enable sharing. Or move all files you want to the shared folder.

Wireless is no different than wired as long as you're connected to the same access point. Just share a folder and type //computername on the other computer to get to the files. I wouldn't recommend the wizzards, just do that, it's much simpler.

Don't use the wizard, it always messes stuff up. Just open my computer and type in //computername and you are connected. If that doesn't work the wizzards won't be able to help you anyway

It's A...

it sounds like you have a wireless router/modem and the other computer is connected to that via a lan/ethernet cable.

if the other computer connect to a modem directly you would have to use ICF wo share the web over the net.
