eject/remove HDD

Thread Starter
so i got my nice new, fancy (for me) computer and i noticed something that kinda surprised me. when i went to "safely remove" from the icon in the trey, a usb flash drive i noticed that my C: drive was listed in there too. is that normal? i would assume windows would be smarter than that. i know better than trying it, but is there some way to make it so it does not show up in the list of removable drives just in case someone else is using it or something like that. thanks
