SO for the same price but better parts
Your price is $713 shipped, mine is $652 with a $20 MIR.

Add the 3.5 floppy drive (she uses them for work, I know, out dated, but thats what they still use) $12

The case you have has poor reviews (most all of them had broken front clips), and as I said, don't want the front USB on the bottom. So put my case back in, $10 more.

Keyboard and mouse, another $30

3 in 1 Printer $55

Up to $825 now, $175 more than her limit. There is a $15 MIR on the MoBo, so still $160 over her limit, and $180 more than mine.

Not trying to be an ass, but I don't want a video card. Don't need a video card. That's why I put that in my first post. Onboard is all she needs. Not everybody needs a video card. She is not into gaming. Never will be.
Same for a overclockable MoBo. It will not be overclocked.

I am sure your happy with your setup, because it suits you. Mine suits me. I am trying to make one that suits her.

As for why 2 gigs, memory is starting to go up now, so I am getting 2 while I can. 1 gig is $40-45 shipped. I don't want lack of memory to be an issue the entire time she owns this thing, so if she ever does decide to go with Vista, she should be OK.

FYI on the PS...
Over kill, NOT! A good PS is important to the quality, stability and overall life of a PC, anything less that that one would not behoove you! Good choice

Well don't that beat all.
She called me this morning and tells me she had a coworker talk her into ordering a Dell with their discount.
Oh well. Funny thing is, her discount at her work is 6%, mine is 12% plus I have a coupon for another $100 off any desktop over $600.

So she is getting a 17" monitor, X2 3800+ (no idea which version), CD-RW/DVD drive, 1 gig memory, 160 gig HD, Vista Premium (which she says she does not like) for $625 shipped.
I just wanna smack her, but it is her money....
Thanks for the input though.

Mods, you can close this if you want.
