Whoa, that's the most horrible placement of thermal paste I've ever seen. I think I'd be more surprised if they actually did it correctly though.

This is superb. first thing i do with any pre-seated sink.

I just bought a cheapo nv 6200 for a file server I use and i wish I took a picture of the goo. just a tiny bit and in one corner. this thing doesn't even have a fan.

thats the thermal compound, we are dismantling about 800 laptops right now and thats what I am finding on about 15% of them

damn i have had a my dell 4400 for over 4 years now and have never reseated the heatsink... I wonder wat its like now lol
