How much are you willing to spend? Are you planning to go SLI? And what resolution will you be playing at.

If you're planning on DX10, please read this first. http://www.overclock.net/news-overcl...nt-pretty.html

I live on my computer and Play games constantly - $1000 dual 880GTX's
I play on my computer in my time off. - $400-ish Single 8800GTS 640MB
I mostly browse the web and occasionally play games - $150ish 8600GTS

Good chart! D: That's what I was going to recommend if he/she said somewhere in those price range.

Would go with the 8600 GTS or 8800 GTS/GTX 640 MB and SLI them later or now

Agree. . though only the 640 ver. . the 320mb ver. isnt nearly as good in terms of $/frame perfomance

Resolution is at 1440X900. My x850 is getting old from what I can see. I have about 300 to spend.

I would save another $100, and get a 8800GTS 640MB. I personally own it and it pretty much max all of my DX9 games with good frame rates.

STALKER, the most demanding game I own. - Full Dynamic Lightings with everything maxed out - 30-50 FPS in the rain outside.

You should also look into another 1GB of RAM. It'll help A LOT.
