lol. Let's see you fix a SMT part or a CPU pin with a soldering gun since you know so much. What do you think silver epoxy is for?

I asked about reps because I have make a few posts and never get any reps, like yesterday I put up a neat trick on how to paint your case and blend colors. Heck, I did take the time to post the technique. Thought there must be something special i had to do for a rep point.

Yes Mr. T! There we go.

Now it's time to like post things that may or may not help. Anything cool you can think of. Stay out of OffTopic. Use the Unanswered Threads link under Quick Links at the top left just go back about 3 pages and maybe you can help a few of those guys.

Guides are another cool thing. Done something to mod your machine that's pretty cool but no one knows about it? Post that stuff!

Be Social also. Making a post saying "Hey that sure is a nice picture of David Hasslehoff!" is ok to do and coupled with your brand spankin new avatar they will go "+REP you like David Hasslehoff too?!?! :O" in your rep box0rz.

Your actual mileage may vary not valid with any other offers.

silver epoxy is for lazy people, and its also used in places where it is hard to get at with a solding iron. lol why don't we make a poll here somewhere, buy a mobo fixed with silver epoxy, or buy a brand new mobo. most people won't buy silver epoxy fixed mobos unless you offer them at a very good price.

you're an electrical engineering, soldering to you should be what riding a bike is for most normal people

ps: fixing a cpu pin isn't as easy as you think, cpu pins are Gold coated for super conductability. fixing it with tin solder or silver epoxy adds alot of resistance to that pin

1. Soldering is 2nd nature to me

2. 90 percent of electrical engineers can't solder, or run wires in a house, etc. I can because I used to own/run an electronics repair shop.

3. Have you ever used silver epoxy? You seem to be the expert on the subject. It's just 200 times more expensive than solder, that's why it's not used much. It's a better connection.

TIP: Hound the "Unanswered Threads" section and lend advice to the threads that fell through the cracks. That's gotten me quite a few reps in the past.
