Mmmmmm multi threaded games!!!

$266 is within my price range but by the time it comes over here to the UK ill eat my socks if that price isnt £266 (over $500)

well just looking on this site the price is
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...d=6&subcat=793
Would this price drop at the end of the month?? Surley if it does drop to or around the price of a E6600 wouldnt that make the E6600 redundant??

Attachment 51688

I believe the new 1333 fsb chips will replace the older 1066 fsb chips.

The extra 2 mb cash makes very little, even no difference at all in games really.
3.0GHz is easily achievable on P35 motherboard (don't know about yours).
Best bang for bucks in the UK until the £140 quad core (if that ever happens in the UK!) .

On my board 4300s over 3ghz are easily achievable according to the OC.net experts.
I really cant see a £140 quad in the UK. Not in the next 2 years at least.

From what I read on the Net, the current UK stock of Q6600 are the "B3" revisions. With the lunch of the "G0" revisions of Q6600 (some say they run much cooler than the "B3" revisions), we should see them drop to around £180 marks or less.We shall see in less than 3 weeks if that happens
