Hey I need some help here.

I screwed up when I first installed the card--I only plugged in the 8 pin--the card clocks set themselves to about half speed. I immediately put in the other plug after reading themanual and seeing themistake.

Now the clocks will not run at full speed--even after unlocking them in ATI OVerDrive.

i know thePSU is a good one (Silverstone DA 750) and I have both plugs in.

How can I keep the clocks set at at least default speed wiithout them resetting to 507 and 514?

Are you using AMD GPU clock tool? Click on the little "3D" thing and set the clocks to 742/1000.

No one really knows which is better right now, as the HD 2900 XT's drivers are still VERY immature.

I feel ya. the GTX drivers are not there yet (maybe they will never be there). At least it looks like the ATI drivers are moving along quicker.

I saw the other thread - That may explain your super low temps on the quad? your cpu score should be between 5000-5700 on that overclock with the quad, what is yours?

CD, I noticed that your bench screen shows the Q6600 running only one core! I may be mistaken, but the CPU-Z window says one thread, one core.
That may be the reason for the lower score.
