Thread Starter
Im looking for a new headset for my new PC that will be arriving next week, the sound card on it is a Creative SoundBlaster X-FI sound card and would like to take full advantage of it . http://www.overclock.net/intel-gener...am-my-new.html <--My new PC....

What Do you think is the best non-usb headset out there that has a built on MIC?

As a rule, don't buy audio products from a keyboard maker. Look into Sennheisers, they are fairly inexpensive and will give you good bass, treble...pretty much everything.

I own a pair of Icemat Siberia and has no problem reproducing excellent bass and treble when hooked up to my audigy zs2. Clip on mic is very hand because I place it on the desk or clip it onto my pencil cup etc. w/ no hassle of attached mic.
$39.99 at Buy.com http://www.buy.com/prod/icemat-siber...203121718.html

Other brands of major consideration:
Steel Pad (Heard good things about this)
55.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16836509102
Turtle Beach
49.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16836502004
Sennheiser (I haven't researched them much when it comes to "headset")

My Logitech Z-5300s sound mighty nice. As do my Yamaha NS-A636s, and Yamaha makes keyboards and motorbikes!

you can trust sennheiser. Actually just Sat I had a guy begging me to sell him my discontinued HD580's of course I wouldn't let them go... they're getting hard to come by, and they're my main can. I did however let go of my custom cable for it... for $125

speaking of which.... look left for a pic of them, and no, they aren't stock...
