is spending the extra 200 dollars on a dx10 card when nobody knows whether or not it will be able to handle dx10 games well? right now, there is not one thing that restricts you from doing anything on a PC without you buying SLI ultras.

keep in mind, crysis isn't a good dx10 game reference. considering that it is one of the first dx10 games to be released and probably not going to have dx10's full potential. (not saying that you did)

I understand what you mean, but Ultra's atm, are for people for whom what a computer can is just as important, as how high the benchmark score is, and that is all i am really trying to say.

edited to make the right sense.

Microsoft and Nvidia have been hand feeding Crytek DX10 help to make sure that it shows its full potential in order to get more people to a) buy Vista and b) buy nvidia dx10 cards.

I myself am waiting with great anticipation to the next gen of nVidia dx10 cards. I feel that they will have a lot of the kinks worked out by then and that they will run the new titles (like Crysis) much better than first G80. They just better get them out within a month of the Crysis release date otherwise I won't be able to wait any longer and will get an 8800 Ultra.
