DFI Infinity NF570/AMD/G.Skill-advice needed

Thread Starter
So I finally found the time to put my sig rig together and am pretty satisfied with it. The 3600 lived up to the hype, ram is killer and the DFI has more options than I know what to do with!

The one issue I don't like is the IT8712F chip. No temperature monitoring reads it correctly, not even BIOS. It would be nice if the Zalman 9700 held temps below ambient, but yea . ITE Smartguardian under reports also. Speedfan picks up the diode and thermo resistor but I had to add ~12C to the reported temps.

Anyone have experience with this? The model is a DFI Infinity NF570 M2/G. I'm using 1/11/2007 Beta BIOS (I hoped that would solve the problem....nope).

I have the exact same problem. I suspect it is just one batch of the chips was faulty. I find that if I have SpeedFan running, Smart Guardian reads reasonable temps (10-15c above ambient).

The Brisbane is having issues with temp monitoring!
Thats why I aquired a Sunbeam Theta and removed the top IHS... 3600+.
