I also have to give it a 1.60v for a 3.60ghz, so the Vc is not high IMO.

I agree with Max... you have some headroom with the temps being as low as they are. Very nice OC! That's near the upper end of stable for most e6600's.

i have very similar results as you do, rigt now my e6600 is at 3.5 with 1.5 volts, and mt temps are at 42c, but im on water cooling.... if your passing orthos at 3.6, id stay with that, anything higher will be too hot, and not as stable... but you have a nice OC for aircooling!!

last night i pushed mine to 3.8 using 1.575 core volts, my loadded temps were 58-60c using speedfan, i lowered it back to 3.6 @ 1.5, its just much safer to run it at this....

not bad

any vcore is safe as long as the temps are fine. However it will reduce the life alot after so much vcore

I was able to pass Orthos with a 1.485 vcore running at 3.6. Orthos ran for 12 hours without any problems and my temps nevcer went over 45C

Thats a good oc you got there for air cooling. I would leave it there unless youwanna try to squeeze a little more out of it but for 24/7 operation that is fine.

Not really true. Maybe in the older 90nm and larger dies you could get away with it. These c2d's are more suseptible to getting fragged by running high vcore. I have scene a few cases where over 1.65 to 1.7v was degrading them by alot after a couple of months of 24/7 use. This was on water cooling with temps less then 55c to 60c.

So yes the way you worded it sure your not saying how much life it will be reduced by so youcould argue that with me but the way its posted I dont want people to think because they are at -15c that they can run 1.7vcore for 24/7 for months on end and still have a ok cpu after 3 to 6 months.
