Deal: Core 2 Duo laptop for $1200 at Dell.com

This is the series with the new eight colors you can choose for the case. Here is the direct link. You can find reviews of the new Inspiron series everywhere. They had a makeover and are decent now. http://www.dell.com/content/products...=19&l=en&s=dhs
(BTW. This is for the USA, I didn't check for other countries such as the UK).

Configure a laptop here.
Use this coupon code "TSD1$NG00WFD4N". It subtracts $350 from an order of at least $1399 and it expires July 12th. Also, they are offering free 2GB RAM and 160GB HDD upgrade.

These are truly free. I was on the site yesterday and I placed an order. I didn't get these two bonuses. I'm going to cancel my order and reorder. You can get a very decent C2D notebook for merely $1100-$1200. I will edit later and post the specs of the notebook I ordered for informational purposes.

::EDIT::

This somehow landed on $1399 exactly. Using the coupon, sub-total was $1049 + free S&H + $87.86 tax. Total $1,136.86. Less than $1150. Deal? [i ordered a 14.1" one but you cang et the 15.4" one for about the same price]

Update
New coupon code: G01JG242730SDT This one only subtracts $300
Expires on the 18th

Bump. If anyone is getting a laptop I don't want you to miss this deal. I don't think you can get anything better for the same price range.

I would totally buy this for senior year and college, but I want one with an SSD, and I'm sure those will be out by then. Anyway, sweet deal rep+

I'm pretty sure you can get a nicer HP for the same price/cheaper. MY buddy just bought a lappy with just about the same specs except he got a 8600GT and it was like $1150.

I couldn't find an HP laptop with that screen size that also has an 8600GT. I configured a dv2500t just now out of curiosity, I was over $1300 halfway through selecting everything.

I configured something at HP.com before posting. I worked something out around the price range. the HP laptop was more expensive with inferior specs. I think I remember being able to get the 8600GT with the 15.4" Inspiron.

You obviously have not had a good experience with anything over a grand. In other words, also don't have anything substantial to make these kind of comments. But it's your preference.

its not like i had any bad experiences, just think its not worth it if u think about it. theres a ton of other laptops at half the price (500,600+) that can do most of the same type of tasks a $1000 laptop can do, ive never spent anything over a grand, except on college and on my business
