What can be the problem (Internet) ?

Thread Starter
My girlfriend shares a cable connection with her cousin. Her connection drops constantly and she gets kicked offline. However, most the time when she reboots it will reconnect.

Just an extra note. She lives on the third floor and her cousin is on the second floor. So they have an ethernet cable going from window to window. I'm not implying there might be a problem but susceptible?

What MAY be causing this?

well first off, sharing a connection like that may be against the TOS of the cable company if they don't live in the same unit.
