The x1600XT is better. Most x1650PRO's are rebadged GDDR3 X1600XT's, but this isn't the case here....so go with the x1600XT.

im planning on it the rv530 seems to like gddr3 better than the drr2

The X1600XT because it has a 256 Bit memory interface and since its is GDDR3. But you can save money by overclocking that X1600PRO to a near XT speed.

SE>GT>PRO>XT>XTX - I think that how it goes

They are both nearly the same but i know that the xt has a bit more of an advantage. It is about equal to the x1650pro.

the 16x0 series don't have 256 mb bus. if i get a ddr2 card i can never get close to gddr3 clocks due to ddr2 being clock at 400 and gddr3 i clocked at 700 and both cores are clocked at 600
