E6700 Overclock issue!

Thread Starter
OK, I am somewhat new to overclocking. My new setup:

E6700

2X1 Crucial Ballistix Tracer 6400 ddr2800 Mem

P5K Deluxe MoBo

When I ran orthos, it only runs for about a minute, then cancels. I can get it to run longer by cranking up the CPU Voltage, but then it gets really hot, and not within my likings. Attachted are the load, and idle SS's. In addition, i can run a full memtest and superpi test as well. I know that I don't need more voltage as I have seen many other crank there E6700 over this with stock voltage as well. Thanks!

well it looks like just one of your cores is giving an error so you might need just a small bump in vcore to maybe 1.36 vcore, what is your vcore hitting after vdroop??

And to help out you need to go to UserCP and edit/add your system specs so we know what you are working with.

You need bump the volts for the cpu.The 6700 is a volt hungry chip.I run my @ 3.5 and 1.562 volts stable. And can boot, and run benches @ 3.8 with more volts.

Also, I seem to be able to run Company of Heroes, Supreme Commander, etc. for many hours without having issues. Should I still either, back down or add some Vcore?

Up the v core mean up the volts a bit.And run orthos, you can play games but that, don't mean that your rig,is working rigth. Now i lowered my oc a bit as long is summer and,is really hot down here in Florida.
