Yeah, I'm going for 3.2 in a few. I hope 1.7v will be sufficient, cause I really don't want to kill my chip

I got 3 GHz ar 1.425 stable. I guess my stepping must be better

I got it to 3.18 GHz stable, but couldn't get it to POST after that.

LOL, I got 3.2 stable for almost an hour before it failed out. Ran Pi @ 3.2 but that's it. I just tried to get 3.2 stable and it;'s not gonna happen. I think it's my board though. It's stable at 3.18 just like yours but it's not stable past that. I got into windows at 3.3 though! Well I'm trading my system for a laptop anyway.
if it will boot at 3.3 you can get 3.2 stable....it's still in your secondary timings...

Even if it passes Memtest doesnt mean much with a Brisbane as you all know...you Must use Orthos to get the ram stable....

I just changed a timing and booted to Orthos...and kept changing 1 at a time till I got it 24hr stable...worked very well...it also allowed me lower my voltage...2885mhz on 1.25vcore is awesome...I am sure I could hit 3G's on 1.3v even with a little more ram timing refinement...

Well, I'm pretty confident in my skills concerning ram and this CPU\\momb. If I had some ram that would do 950-1000 I think I would be O.K. but I have kingston 667
post #68 of 77
I can boot no problem at 3.18ghz but as soon as I go higher it would just go to the OS loading/ boot screen and just load forever with no hard drive usage... Something I still need to figure out, but besides that I can boot up at 360mhz fsb!

Well, I dropped from 9.5x multi to 9 and still same problem. I think either my PSU\\Ram\\or my chipset needs more volts. not sure which but I will narrow it down 1 piece at a time.

I can boot at 360 FSB on this board too.

I think your PSU should be fine! I upgraded from my 550watt psu and now with my 700 watt OCZ I still can't go higher

I also upgraded ram and also the same...I think it's just the cpu's or maybe your mobo

What stepping do you have btw?
