Stock cooler is gone and was never really an option. I need something decent (as mentioned) but I'm not about to drop $60 on a cooler for a computer my little sister is gonna use for surfing the web & printing pictures. Slade sold his Ultra-120 Extreme... damn I should have jumped on it when I had the chance.

I'm trying to keep it in the $40 (probably should have mentioned that) so I'll keep an eye on the FS section. Used isn't really a problem.

if it's for your sister, why not just lower the clocks? unless your sister is a hardcore gamer chick, she won't know what to do with 3.2 GHz anyway.

Now that you mention the Price range

Arctic Freezer 7 Pro

But the sockets confuse me

All Intel Celeron (Socket 775)
All Intel Pentium 4 (Socket 775)
All Intel Pentium D
All Intel Core 2 Duo
Core 2 Extreme Quad

Is Socket 775 the same as LGA 775 and when it says all Core 2 Duo So i guess it supports your chip that you want
That cooler has been highly rated

I SHALL NOT GIVE UP ON YOU ZALMAN!!!!

I refuse to say no to zalman and here you go the same cooler without the Shinny blue fan If you can spend $10 more i think it will be worth it but the Arctic cooling one is great to

the GeminII is far from crap. when competing with the expesive ones as the Tuniq, the Enzotech UltraX and TR120Extreme it never got much higher temps, while it costs only half what most of the highest-end ones cost.
the second thing, which should not be overlooked, is that it reaches that kind of performance even with silent fans. fans that put out as little as 60-70 CFM. while most high-end coolers still need more after 110CFM to reach their top performance, which makes them noisy.

AC freezer 7 is your 'best bang'

GeminII FTW! (ordered one for my cellie '420 ) and some friend of mine has it on his c2Q with 2 120MM bigass 130+ CFM coolers. (noisy but kool!)
