maximum voltage for 7900 GTX ?

Thread Starter
whats the maximum voltage for the 7900 GTX ? (without vaporizing the card!!)
and at the moment i have only stock cooling... and the situation is not that bad as i have a ~6" fan blowing cool air in just under the card.. and it does help allot as i tried to use it without the fan...

and..
how much about does rising the voltage make the temperature rise?

edit:
i have already changed it from 1.4V to 1.5V as i saw somewhere that you can easily set it 0.1V up..

another edit:
to be more precise..
i dont want to touch the memory voltages (unless i really need to)
and i do these voltage changes via modifying the bios.. (worked well from 1.4V to 1.5V)

Vmod for video cards is a soldering thing not in Bois. and get better cooling that thing won't last a minute with stock sink and more voltage do core first get more when the core is up then on memory i've heard

You can take it to 1.7V on water. I personally wouldn't go any further than 1.5V on air..

Ok, thanks for info.
But theres one thing i dont get, when i changed voltages from 1.4 to 1.5, the temps under heavy usage came up just some degrees, maybe just a bit less than 10 celcius, 7 or something i think..

So if someone knows for sure, will there suddenly be a enormous jump in the temps somewhere after 1.5V?
Because if not, i think i could go up to 1.6V with this cooling solution..

edit:

what ive heard; voltage tables cannot be edited on every bios, so in those cases soldering are the only option.. im not sure about this tho, but i get voltage readings changed to ~1.5V from ~1.4V on Asus Probe II and Everest Ultimate after just flashing my edited bios with esdited voltage tables
