repoman,
What are your settings in the bios for memory timings, vcore, memory voltage, FSB and memory divider? Those temps really are quite promising ! That is why I am debating removing the IHS.

First I tried 2900MHz with 1.35v, that's where I saw the load temps and promptly removed the IHS.

Now I get 2980MHz with 1.35v, memory at about 230MHz 2.5-3-2-6 with 2.50v. I run 2820MHz with 1.25v 24/7, memory at about 235-236 I suppose 2.5-3-2-6

My sig rig runs 35 idle, 50 load @ about 21 ambient. I can't read separate core temps with Speedfan, have to get Everest or something

A real quick check with CoreTemp .95 shows 32/37 idle, 47/53 load. Incidentally, Speed fan reads my higher temp core.

That is quite impressive! At 2600MHz My vcore is 1.4v and the idle temps are at 39/49°C. I even blue sceened once with my G.Skill PC3200 at 208MHz with 2.5-3-3-6 with 2.6v. I've since loaded RGONE's settings from DFI streets, the ram is currently 2.5-3-3-7 at 2.7v. I think I just got a below average CPU. I cant even run the CPU with 1.3v at 2400MHz.
Currently at 2500MHz with 1.375v.

I just removed the IHS. Right now I am running Orthos at 2.7GHz. The FSB is 270, HT is x3, and the memory divider is 7/10. The idle temps are 44/34° with the vcore at 1.4v. At full load with Orthos, the temps max out at 47/54°C
