My neighbor has ATI X600 SE. He wants me to give him some suggestions on upgrading. He would like to try the Nvidia card. However, I don’t know what to recommend.

So, X600 SE is low-end video card = nvidia 6xxx?
Lol, generalizing the entire 6 series as low end is a very big mistake. The 66 and 68 series were probably the best cores ever made.

The SE for ATI is like the LE and TC versions of nVidia. Pro = XT/GS, XT = GT/GTS, XTX = GTX.

I also agree that the 7600GT would be his best bet for a new GPU.

The middle one is overclocked slightly than the other two, and the last two have two DVI ports whereas the first has a DVI and VGA. Go with the middle one.
