Appraisal: ATI X800Pro

This card was only used a few months till I bought a BFG 6800GT. The X800Pro was flashed to a X800XT with 16 pipes. It ran awesome I remember for a short while then started to artifact like crazy. I went to flash it back to the original bios I had saved on a floppy but it was corrupted. I wish I had made a couple of backups just in case but..well. I did manage to flash back to a X800Pro but it still had the extra 4 pipes unlocked. It ran much better but still with some artifacts at times. I can't oc it any either. I suspect that one of the unlocked pipes must be defective. If someone can lock the unlocked pipes back then it would be like new. I'm not sure if a volt mod would help or not. Anyhow I installed this card a couple months ago just to see if it still works and it does but with some mild artifacts at times. So what's it worth?

? Well maybe 30 or 40 bucks?

But it might be hard to sell it at all with the artifacts.

My 2$

That is an excellent card, a couple years ago i bought that card from a friend for $100 and it ran great, (upgraded from a FX5200). I was able to run that card overclocked all the time up till it was struck by lightning (came in through the s-video port) melted the cord right to it and the front of the card was completely black, that's the time I upgraded to this rig.

Anyway, since it artifacts some, I agree with douglovesmelissa, around $30-40 sounds about right.
