New build, some help please! - Page 3

OK..

Basically I've reconsidered going for SLI. Now I just
want to have 1 GPU. 8800GTX. SO..

The Motherboard "GigaByte N680SLI-DQ6 S775, DDR2,
SATA2, GBLan, 8Snd, ATX" supports SLI (which I don't
need now..) Which board should I get thats good for
OCing and is a max price of £180 - £200 ($380 appx.)?

Remember I'm going to be using a Q6600..

Sorry I'm not much help.. As I've said before
I'm new to PC building and component matching
so this information would be much appreciated!

ALSO: Some have told me on another site that
my PSU isn't all that good and I should go for
something more stable. Any ideas?

PSU: Thermaltake W0116RB 750W Toughpower PSU W Cable Management (Modular)

Thanks!

That's a nice size budget for a board. Consider looking at the p5k deluxe. Sooooo many options. Great fun so far.

I've got a question..

If I decide to get a P35 chipset board.. Does
that only accept 45nm CPUs? Or can I fit my
Q6600 65nm CPU in?

That board you suggested doesn't look bad.
I'd like to hear more suggestions.

In simple terms is there any other board I can
get for £180 - £200 ($380 appx.) thats better
than my chosen Gigabyte N680SLI DQ6?

Nah, I don't have enough money and I've
got my mind set on the Q6600.

The last thing I need to choose is a PSU.

This link holds the list of possible PSU I
can afford. £75-£100. I'd like to try to
stay at a max of £85.

What do I get(?) as I have no previous
experience in what is a good PSU.

THANKS!
