Its possible that the BIOS of the motherboard has recognised the new hardware and instigated chassis intrusion features. If this is the case it can be rectified by simply removeing the CMOS battery, which should be next to the AGP slot on that board, and leave the motherboard for a few minutes before placeing the battery back in and trying again. This will clear all BIOS settings and restore it back to its factory defaults.

There are different versions of the 440LX board. One type of board uses Slot1 CPU's, which slide into place like a graphics card, and the other uses PGA370, which is the usual CPU socket and pins.

Common beep codes that cover most BIOS...
1S 2L or 1S 3L = Vid Card
Repeating and endless = Memory
Repeating High Low = CPU

It slides in place like a graphics card

Right now I only get 1 quick beep

I removed the CMOS battery for like 5 mins, put it back in, still medal. I put in a different CMOS battery, no change.

1 quick beep refers to the system is ok and is normal.
