you know that heat rises to the top right? that means no heat is going to go to the heatsink/fins, instead it's going to stay at the northbridge and barely get cooled.

if you are talkih about inside the heatpipe then you are mistaken- the heat in a heat pipe is transferred by a liquid like water or ammonia that when heated evaporates and migrates to the cooler end of the pipe(away from the heat source) it then condenses and through a wicking device in the heat pipe- makes its way back to the hotter end of the system. so it doesnt matter which end is up-- because the mechanism always works the same way regardless of orientation.

and if you are talking about in the case- then i presume that that is waht the fan on the top of the case is for.

If you're referring to heat convection as in a multi-level home, test have proven that behavioral law doesn't really apply to PC cases due to size limit and fan turbulence.

what do you think guys?
Just a few thoughts:

1. Why two radiators? Unless you are runnings extremely slow and quiet fans, I can't see the reason for 2 radiators.
2. I found that it is best to avoid reservoirs.
3. You will learn to hate dust!

I love it! I'm actually designing something like this myself. Kind of inspired by Syrillian's recent case mod.

Any reason you're going with dual compartments instead of having everything in one spot?

the heat pipes are going to be redundant anyway as i am going to use 2x mofet water coolers for the board elecy thingies lol

2 component areas allow me to keep the mobo compartment free from vibration/extra head created by the hard drives and power supply

That sketch is amazing!

Where did you get the drawings for the fans and rads etc?

1, i am going to be using 1000rpm-ish fans and i wll have 7 maybe 8/9 water blocks on this (depends if i decide to use blocks on the memory modules)
so 2x 360mm rads will be nessesary (and if they aint who cares i want it lol)

2, due to the amount of coolant in the system a res would negate any difficulty setting it up.

3, i am thinking of putting dust filters on it but it may ruin the look (i am a meticulas cleaner anyhow)
