As I said in your other thread, over-volting will not kill your computer instantly. It will however start deteriorating your processor's transistor performance instantly and continuously.

I never understood why people are so willing to exceed manufacturers specs on voltage by massive amounts but they will not budge 1C over the manufacturers recommended maximum temperature.

If you check AMD's (I don't know what AMD calls it) architecture and processor data sheets you will find what effects certain voltages have on the processors.

Actually I'm not scared at all to run over 60*c When I was getting 3.1 stable it hit 62 a couple times. No biggie. But 1.7v is WAY higher than spec. I'm only going to be using 1.7v to get 3.2 stable, then I will lower my O.C. back down.
