Will an 8800GTS be enough.....

Thread Starter
I recently ordered this monitor which runs at a 1680X1050 resolution. I was wondering if an 8800GTS 320MB would enough to max out, or come close to maxing games such as FEAR, CSS, BF2, etc on the 1680X1050 res. Comments are greatly appreciated.

Yes for those games at that res. For future games, IDK.
I have a 320 and play those games maxed, same res.
Lost Planet is the only current release that I cannot play maxed.

well yes, at 1280x1024 - but if he plays it on 1680x1050 as his monitor will do, it really isn't going to be so good

also, some current games don't allow you to max out settings unless you have over 512mb of video memory - e.g GRAW

and the other thing is, most future games will probably need the 640mb, so you may aswell go for it

other than that, go for the GTS, overclocked it can get very close to a GTX
