I wouldn't install Halo 2 if it was free...........what a POS. I'm no MS hater, but *** is wrong with them (regarding this game)? It requires Vista, yet the graphics are terrible!!!!!

However, if you like this game then it's a great deal.
EDIT:
Just because it's for Vista doesn't mean that it utilizes DX10 architecture, does it? It sure doesn't look like it...

I found this card very easy to install and setup. It is a large card so i had to unplug a couple wires to fit it in. other than that the installation was quick and easy . Had on board vidio 128ram new duel processor ,had to delete these drivers and install .The fluid motion and beutiful sound made instant results and well worth the money.Turned up all setting on wow and card ran flawless.Quiet running cant wait to play some major gaming now.

THe only thing funnier than noobish reviews at newegg...the ones at Circuit City.

The graphics are not terrible. They are not as good as others, but they are not terrible. If graphics are what get you to buy games, you're dumb. Halo 2 doesn't use dx10.

Halo does not use DX10 but they made it Vista-only anyway. which is why i hate it. it was just a blatant move to try to force people to buy a new OS they don't need.

Poor, i was referring to a link to the Halo patch.

Wow don't get your panties in a wad. IMO they are bad graphics for a 'new' game. The game was released years ago on inferior hardware (by today's standards)
Graphical features are one of the reasons that I (and many others) buy games. IF it wasn't, then why do game previews show so many screenshots? Also, why would people pay top dollar for graphics cards that can run all of the eye candy? Think about it.

I'm buying Vista Ultimate x64 soon, as it's a great OS from what I hear. PaulDovi and CyberDruid are running it, and CD has almost the same system as me. They both have said very positive things about the OS.

i also like video games with good graphics. i don't understand how anyone wouldn't appreciate good graphics.

Bi, i'm not saying Vista is bad. i'm just saying that people that aren't building new computers don't need it. i'll be damned if i'm going to reformat and buy a new operating system just so i can play a 2 year old game. i think M$ made a really bad move by making Halo 2 Vista-only. i'm glad people made a patch to get around that and i support them wholeheartedly. that's what M$ gets for being too greedy.

I mean if they're the only thing that gets you to buy games. I didn't say they were bad, just that they weren't everything. The game could have great graphics and everything else could completely suck. Do you think I don't know that its an older game? I bought the game for the story, not the graphics. Also, some people buy high end cards to future-proof, so they know their games will run fast for a while.

Yes, I have vista ultimate.

They shouldn't have made halo 2 vista only, but it makes perfect sense. They wanted to help push vista, a new product. Tons of companies do things like that.

it's just that they have nothing to worry about. all of us are going to buy Vista sooner or later - it's not like they have any real competition anyway. let's not forget that M$ has spawned 3 of the top 10 richest people in the world? Bill Gates quit working so he can give his money away full time now. it just doesn't seem right for them to pressure us into buying Vista before we buy our next computer. and it seems to have backfired - i think XP was a much bigger deal when it came out.

anyway, i'm glad they're doing this with Halo 2, which i don't care about. i'll get real mad if they do it with the Gears of War port. i want that game!

By the time gears of war comes out for pc you'll have vista so don't worry about it. And of course vista wasn't as big a deal as xp, XP had great new things, and had many many many many advantages over ME. Vista has advantages over xp, but not as many as xp had over ME. A lot of people don't see a reason to upgrade just yet, but most of those people are pc enthusiasts. Those people who don't know as much and go to best buy will buy it because it looks cool.
