yeah, that secondary RAID controller is teh suck... you should be able to enable RAID on your chipset SATA ports in the BIOS...

Well if the jumpers are removed, have you tried a previous raid driver other than the one you are using yet?

(sorry for double post)

- I tried using an older driver and there were no changes in the results.
- I tried all the possible batch sizes available to me ( 4,8,16,32,64,128 KB ) and
there were no significant changes in speed.

When I ran benchmark using "HD Tach" and "HD Tune" I got these results (in attachments). The graph's don't look right .. Isn't it supposed to gradually decrease instead of being random peaks ?

I've even tried enabling the native mode in the BIOS and did not see any changes in the results.

[x] Drivers
[x] Batch Size
[x] Benchmarking disk array when formatted and unformatted.

I am completely stumped
