i've done this before, kinda. basically go to network settings and view your connections. select both the wireless and LAN connection and right click and select "bridge" and let it do its thing.. then you might have to go into your wireless setting and set it as "ad hoc" or something like that

Bridging connections will allow you to use your Laptop as an ad hoc. However there are some precautions you should note. Be sure to enable your primary NIC as a static IP or else it will lose its IP, subnet ect and fail. Otherwise it will work as needed.

I don't know if PSP can connect to adhoc unless it is to other PSPs.
When you try to connect... DO NOT go into adhoc mode... that is only for connecting to other PSPs. Try to connect to the network like an other network. Did you manually set your IP?

Ermm I just bridged the connection and scanned for a infasture signel.
